Quiet Storm

A Fairuza Balk Fansite – 4.0

I don’t think any of you have missed that the world of Fairuza Balk has been revolving rather slow lately. I haven’t heard a single peep about what she might be up to nowadays.
Well, to remedy my boredom I set out to create the Fairuza Balk Fansite 4.0. That is, a whole new face to a site that’s existed 4 years now (…and counting).

Ok this is a bit random of me, is it true that Ru is in a band G13? if so is there any where to listen to sound clips? If anyone could let me know I’d be grateful, cheers.

Yes it has been pretty quiet on the Fairuza front lately… well for years actually. He latest film BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS is still in theaters in a limited release. It’ll be available on DVD April 6th, you can pre-order it on Amazon right now.

Fairuza took part in two documentaries in 2009: THE HEART IS A DRUM MACHINE, and BLOOD INTO WINE. The former will be available on DVD in March, the later is still being edited.

For much of 2009 Fairuza spent time going from one Horror convention to another, meeting fans, taking pictures, and signing autographs. This is how I got to meet her for the first time :). IT WAS AWESOME!

Ru also performed in a Star Studded version of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES for charity.

As for G13, I haven’t heard anything about since her appearance on The Late Show with Craig Kilborn.

Also in 2010 we’re awaiting more information on Ru’s film THICKER which is still listed as being in pre-production on IMDB.

I really hope the 2010 picks up with more Fairuza… although I think it was great that Fairuza took a lot of 2009 to actually meet her fans, I was wondering if I’d ever get the opportunity to meet her.
